Born in New York in 1982,
Lives and works in Brooklyn.
"The lunar eclipse of December 30, 1982, and the red twilights seen in that year were similarly affected by the volcano El Chichon in Mexico
reported in the March and April 1983 issue. Veteran skywatchers may remember the lunar eclipse of December 30, 1963, darkened by aerosols
from the eruption of Mount Agung in Indonesia."
Scott Meyers documents the evolving world and depicts the possible outcomes of human nature, life and time. Creating drawings, collages
and sculptures within a geometric grid-like composition, his bursts of color are disassembled and weaved back together with intricate patterns
and line work. Inspired by his surroundings, the microscopic world and remnants of the past, he often looks to architecture and hand crafted,
manmade objects.
I'm always psyched to recieve something in the mail!
